Avon Products Chairman Douglas Conant is willing to meet with Barington Capital Goup after refusing for months to to engage with the activist shareholder, which is demanding management changes and heavy cost cuts. As previously noted on Happi.com, Avon had quite a week last week, including a possible acquisition of its North American business by Cerberus.
